Internal Assessment (Day-to-day assessment & Terminal examination)
and University Examination (Professional examination)
A. INTERNAL ASSESSMENT: Internal assessment shall be based on:
· Day-to-day assessment (student seminar, clinical case preparation, clinical case study, participation in project for health care in community, practical skill in small research project), and assessment of student assignment.
· Regular periodical examinations (Terminal examinations) conducted throughout the course.
B. UNIVERSITY EXAMINATION: Essentials for qualifying to appear in Professional Examinations:
a. Attendance: Minimum 75% attendance in the subject for appearing in the examination, and minimum 80% attendance in non-lecture teaching (eg. Seminars, Group discussions, Tutorials, Demonstrations, Practical, Hospital postings and Bed-side clinics, etc).
b. Internal Assessment: Student must secure at least 35% marks of the total marks fixed for internal assessment in a particular subject in order to be eligible to appear in final university examination of that subject. Weightage for the internal assessment shall be 20% of the total marks in each subject.
